Lessons Learned

“I was ready to hire them, and then they come back with 30 or 40% on AbilityMap. And I was like, there’s no way.”

Dean noted that getting the best results from AbilityMap has involved some fine-tuning. He’s had to move the assessment earlier on in the hiring process, due to the disappointment of favourite candidates performing poorly on AbilityMap.

It was, he said, a clear ‘no’ if a candidate’s assessment had a low score. So, they moved the assessment to the start of the recruitment journey.
